Beauregard Row

This charming row of houses has been around since the 17th century and is one of the city’s most beloved attractions. The street is lined with tall, colourful buildings that are connected by narrow alleyways and cobblestone paths. It’s a great place to take a leisurely stroll or simply sit back and enjoy the view.

The name Beauregard comes from an old French word meaning “beautiful garden”, which perfectly describes this quaint corner of Lille. As you walk down Beauregard Row, you’ll be surrounded by vibrant colours and lush vegetation – it truly feels like stepping into another world. You can also find several historic monuments here such as St-Eloi Church (built in 1650) as well as some lovely cafés where you can relax after your sightseeing tour.

Beauregard Row was once part of a larger neighbourhood known as Old Town Lille – an area filled with winding streets and ancient architecture dating back to medieval times. In fact, many parts of the original town still remain today, including its iconic bell tower which stands proudly at one end of Beauregard Row offering stunning views over the city skyline.

Today, Beauregard Row continues to be one of Lille’s most popular tourist destinations thanks to its unique atmosphere and fascinating history.
